There are many organisations that have the same passion to improve education in the Philippines – the Legacy Collective will be a network and a space to put our minds and hearts together for the future generation. The Legacy Collective is a new extension to our international network which we are building and running in 2024. We are looking for student-led organisations, charities, and groups who share an eagerness to advance education for students in the Philippines. A big part of Legacy is community; we are inviting groups who are willing to break down barriers and collaborate for the greater good of the next generation. The Collective will be a space where people can discuss and navigate educational issues while pooling our resources to find solutions. The more people involved, the bigger the impact.

Legacy’s role in the Collective is primarily organisational and to allow organisations in the Philippines to have a more international reach. We are committed to creating a platform for other organisations to collaborate with us and each other.

Legacy Collective

How does the Legacy Collective work?

Annual Conferences

Members of the Legacy Collective are able to put forward topics to discuss in annual conferences where we can discuss, debate, and collaborate our ideas to solve issues at hand. This is the opportunity to network with other societies and request help and support. For example, if an organisation requires assistance or volunteers for an outreach event, the Collective would be the place to request for support. As a Collective, members will function like a community for the betterment of the next generation. Student Societies which are passionate about a specific subject or major can deliver information directly to organisations which work in schools to encourage greater student engagement to the curriculum. The conferences will allow us to find solutions while helping each other.

Effective dissemination of information

Whether there is an event, gathering, or publication that needs to be circulated, the Collective will be a way of increasing the reach and access of information. In our Collective, student societies will have the opportunity to share their posts through a curated selection process. This ensures our communication channels remain high-quality and free from information overload. It's a chance to highlight your most impactful content, reaching an international audience while maintaining the integrity and relevance of the information shared.

Resource sharing

As students, there are a lot of things we find interesting – it’s the reason we do our degree! We can share that spark to orgs who have connections with schools or have programs which aim to encourage student engagement with the curriculum. We will allow members of the Collective to be selective with the information they share and we will ensure that the right organisations get the right recognition for their contributions. Ultimately, this Collective is about sharing and helping as much as we can.

Joint Events and Initiatives

The Collective can be a forum for organisations to collaborate, leveraging the strengths and resources of different groups for a unified impact in tackling issues in education.

Unified Voice on Issues

Why tackle looming issues alone? As a Collective which cares about the future of the next generation, we can collaborate on advocacy or campaigns, creating a stronger collective voice on important issues impacting students. The conferences and discussions we will hold will allow organisations of the Collective to present issues that they are committed to solving.

What types of organisations are we looking to partner with?

The only criteria we have for the Legacy Collective is the eagerness to make an impact on education in the Philippines. We are looking for organisations who are willing to collaborate with other organisations and are excited to learn from each other. Members of the Collective should be enthusiastic about helping others and breaking down barriers.
