Welcome!
Mabuhay! Legacy is founded on the culture of sharing. We bring our resources to form a community of educators, students, and graduates, supporting each generation in their academic journey. Our team strive towards developing sustainable and community-oriented solutions to engage students in their education.
We award scholarships to help pay for tuition and engage students through a series of leadership workshops to develop academic curiosity and social awareness. These discussions are informed by an ongoing dialogue with educators, learners, and academics, implementing their valuable perspectives as we raise student leaders.
Our network celebrates Filipino excellence while raising awareness about pertinent issues we can all help solve together. We welcome everyone to celebrate with us and help us empower the next generation of youth – they are our legacy.

We have two bases of operations!
In the UK, our team focuses on fundraising and raising awareness of our mission. Through community events, we unite people in support of our cause, welcoming anyone who wishes to get involved. We collaborate closely with Filipino student societies, connecting them with the social and educational realities of the Philippines.
In the Philippines, our team leads the on- ground implementation of the program in partner high schools and local communities. We also collaborate with and support other student organisations, embodying the spirit of bayanihan (community cooperation) as we use Legacy as an international bridge and platform to serve the Philippines.

Board
Redrei Visaya
President / Founder
Redrei graduated from the University of Oxford and is a qualifying maths teacher who completed his PGCE. He engaged in youth leadership, social justice, and community building within and beyond the campus. At university, he was the social secretary for the Oxford Philippines Society and the Welfare Officer for the Oxford Queer People of Colour Society. Redrei founded the Legacy Program and serves as the co-chair where he is researching pedagogies and building workshops that promote critical, people-centred thinking.
Nicole Mangaspar
Creative Director
Nicole graduated from the University of Portsmouth with a BA in Graphic Design and is now a freelance creative. During her time in university, she took on various roles in the university’s Filipino society - Media Secretary and President. Such roles developed her creative skill set, as well as leading the society so that UPFS was a home away from home for its members. Whilst in committee, the society fundraised for various causes such as typhoon relief for the Philippines. Nicole is the Creative Director for the Legacy Program. She is in charge of the branding & co-leads the social media presence with the Marketing Director.
Sofia Romero
Scholarship Officer
Sofia is a Psychology graduate from the Ateneo de Manila University, currently working as a Student Support Officer at Cyber Revolution, Australia's only dedicated cybersecurity training and placement company. She is also an intern at Unprude, the leading sexology hub in the SEA. She has worked as a tutor, worked in college theater, and previously handled scholarship programs for the Gokongwei Brothers Foundation. Sofia joined the Legacy Program as the Scholarships Officer, where she, along with the organization’s chairpersons, builds the foundations of the Legacy Scholarship from the ground up.
Kaira Catacutan
Co-Chair President
Kami is an iskolar from the University of the Philippines Diliman, BA Philosophy program. Currently, she is facilitating community engagement to high school students and immersion partner communities in the Philippines. She is also an advocate and practitioner of Philosophy for/with Children, through Philosophical Inquiry in Schools Initiative Philippines (ISIP Pinas) where she also serves as the Executive Director. In Legacy, Kami functions as co-chair, the main pointperson responsible for the operations of Legacy Program in the Philippines. On the side, she is pursuing her Master of Arts in Education, under Non-Formal Education in University of the Philippines Diliman.
Anjelica Solomon
Marketing Director
Anjelica graduated from the University of Bristol with an LLB and has completed her LPC and obtained an MSc in Law, Business, and Management from the University of Law. She has engaged in cultural organisations, social justice, and sports both in her academic and extra curricular life. Anjelica served as Social Media Manager, and eventually President for the University of Bristol Filipino Society. She was also a founding member of the university’s first Criminal Justice Society, where she acted as Press Secretary and Blog Editor. During her gap year post-bachelor, she joined the Legacy Program as a Marketing Officer, eventually moving to her current role as Marketing Director. Within her role she co-leads the management of the Story Team and all relevant projects relating to the physical marketing and digital presence of Legacy Program.

Therese Jien
Secretary
Therese studied Agriculture and Entomology at the University of the Philippines Los Baños. Currently, she is a research consultant working on policy reforms for food security and climate resilience. She serves as the Legacy Program's secretary and finance focal person in the Philippines, while also managing stakeholder engagement with its school partners.
Fitzroi Capili
Admin/HR head
Fitzroi is a student at the University of Southampton studying French and Politics, and has just completed his year abroad at the University of Geneva in Switzerland, taking modules with the Faculty of Translation and Interpretation and the Faculty of Social Sciences. During his second year at the University of Southampton, he was General Secretary for his Filipino Society, in which he was responsible for administrative tasks such as creating risk assessments, booking rooms for society events and leading FilSoc Committee meetings. With Legacy Program Philippines, he completed the Sparks Internship offered by the charity, with his rotations including the research, marketing and events team. Currently, Fitzroi is the Human Resources Director of the charity, whereby he oversees the running of the Sparks Internship Program, alongside supporting Legacy members’ welfare.

Aisaac Sarmiento
PH Research Team Member
Aisaac graduated from the University of the Philippines Los Baños (UPLB) with a Bachelor of Science degree in Development Communication. He is currently working as a science communicator at the Ecosystems Research and Development Bureau (ERDB) of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) in the Philippines. In college, he served as the Deputy Director of the Alliance of Development Communication Students and engaged in various learning and development initiatives that catered to Filipino elementary and high school students. He also participated in community-based programs supporting tricycle and jeepney drivers, single mothers, and the elderly. In the Legacy Program, he served as the school coordinator for the first wave of workshop and scholarship implementation. He was also a part of the research team for the program's workshops.
Audred Visaya
Research Team Member
Kikoy is currently undertaking his PhD in Developmental Psychology. He is figuring out how children’s attention develops, especially in interactions with their parents before they start to look beyond. He hopes to apply this in educational settings, aiming to shed light on how best to facilitate learning. Kikoy is on the research team of legacy, applying developmental psychology methodologies to ensure our workshops are beneficial to our students.
Norvin Castillo
PH Research Team Member
Job graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Philosophy from the University of the Philippines Diliman, and is currently taking his Master's for International Studies, majoring in Asian Studies in De La Salle University Manila. As he continues to pursue his academic career, he strives to be of public service as a writer for the Department and Environment and Natural Resources. He is volunteering with international organizations to further understanding the interconnectivity of states into bringing a better future for humanity. He has been with Legacy since last year and has grown his research writing, teaching, and leadership skills to further help his Filipino brothers and sisters reach their potential in their education.

Genesis Sanchez
PH Research Team Member
Genesis holds a BA in Asian Studies with a focus on Chinese Language and Asian Philosophy and Religion from the University of California, Berkeley, and an MSc in Teacher Education from the University of Oxford. He currently serves as an Ethics Lecturer at the University of Makati and as an Academic Counselor and Literature Teacher at Crimson Global Academy. Beyond the classroom, Genesis is an organizer of Philosophical Discussions and Debate Workshops for Manila Explorations/Friday Night Philosophy Club in Makati, reflecting his commitment to making rigorous intellectual inquiry accessible to broader communities. He is also a Byzantine Chanter and Parish Activity Organizer for the Russian Orthodox Church of the Iveron Icon in Parañaque, Manila. At Legacy, he serves as Research Officer.

Marnie Farnacio
Graphic Designer
MJ is a graduate at Manchester Metropolitan University, with a bachelors in Graphic Design. She was part of her university’s Filipino Society for 2 years, one year being marketing officer and the other being chairwoman making posts for their social media and leading events in the Manchester Filipino community. She’s a part of our STORY team as a creative in Legacy, making posts, editing videos and creating visuals for our social media and educational resources.
Crishen Enguerra
Marketing
Crishen graduated from the University of Liverpool with a degree in Marketing. She is interested in how people connect with brands and stories, particularly through social media and creative content. Her experience in marketing, event organisation, and content creation has allowed her to work with different audiences and communities, developing her passion for storytelling. Crishen is part of the Story team at Legacy, where she helps with planning and developing the organisation's branding. Through her work, she hopes to use creativity and storytelling to help people connect with and understand the impact of Legacy.
Tristan Danganan
Graphic Designer
Tristan is currently studying in Manchester Metropolitan University and is doing a degree in BA Graphic Design He has engaged in leading and designing the visual design for Manchester Filipino Society along with freelancing along side his studies. Tristan is a part of the Story Team as a visual creative who works on visualising and promoting Legacy across different mediums.

Tiara Sepulchre
Sparks Intern
Tiara is a psychology graduate from the University of Essex and is currently working in educational support, working towards qualifying teaching English as a foreign language for migrants and refugees. She revived UoE’s Filipino Society and stepped up as President at university, realising the importance of creating space for community and kapwa to flourish. After graduating, she became a Youth Ambassador for Igorot UK, a charity dedicated towards promoting and preserving the Indigenous culture of the Cordilleras. At Legacy, Tiara is a Sparks Intern, cherishing every opportunity to learn and unlock undiscovered skills in different departments (Research and Finance so far!) and ultimately help develop a meaningful learning experience for students back home.
Regine Salido
Sparks Intern
Regine graduated with a BA in Architecture from the University of Manchester and is currently pursuing a career in the creative design field in London. Outside of her professional pursuits, she co-runs a Christian sticker business, using her graphic design and sketching skills. She is an ambassador for an organisation called Constructive Futures, engaging in professional environments through networking. She is passionate about learning K-pop choreography, exploring crafts like scrapbooking and embroidery. Regine is also a big foodie and explorer discovering aesthetic cafes and visiting landmarks. At Legacy, Regine is a Story Team Intern. She applies her architectural background skills in layout, graphic design, and thoughtful spatial processes. Blending analogue and digital art styles to create engaging media, Regine visually expresses the charity's ethos and brand .
Mia Frias
Sparks Intern
Mia graduated from the University of Staffordshire and is working as a Junior Graphic Designer. She co-founded the Oriental Society and was the deputy manager at university. She engaged in a lot of society work, course trips and does a lot of fun designing in her free time. She also used to work at a bubble tea store! Mia is a part of the Story team at Legacy, where she gives ideas, designs posts, edits videos that promote engagement on social media.
Chelsea Albano
Sparks Intern
Chelsea passed the Bar of England and Wales and currently works in career development, helping to deliver workshops and programmes that support others in progressing their careers. She has been actively involved in youth leadership and community engagement. This includes organising international events, co-founding and serving as President of her university’s Oriental Society, and working as a Pro Bono Marketing Manager. As a SPARKS Intern at Legacy, Chelsea works across multiple departments (events, marketing, research, finance) and supports the organisation’s people-centred projects and development.
Aiyana Samano
Sparks Intern
Aiyana is an Accounting and Finance student at SOAS, University of London. Alongside her studies, she has been involved in student-focused initiatives through Young Asians in Finance increasing access into finance opportunities and her work at Araw London, where she has helped organise student events in the Soho pop up. As a Filipina, she is passionate about supporting educational access in the Philippines and helping bridge educational gaps in a country that means so much to her. At Legacy, she serves as a General Intern, supporting the team behind the scenes across a range of projects and initiatives that help expand the organisation’s impact.
