Our Work
Guided by bayanihan, we move together as one community. We are a dedicated team of students, professionals, teachers, and academics committed to supporting the next generation of leaders. At the heart of our work are our Linang Workshops, where learners develop into leaders who think critically, actively listen, and have a heart for the environment around them.
We recently completed a workshop cycle in Bambang, Laguna and are preparing to launch our workshops in Manila. Each workshop is carefully designed and informed by a dialogue with teachers and students to create a learning experience that is engaging and targeted to students' needs.
LIMANG LINANG LADDERS
We set out to achieve five developmental aims called the
“Limang Linang Ladders to Learning.”
Each "Ladder" symbolises educational progression, providing a structured pathway where every step builds upon students' learning to promote personal growth, academic success, and preparedness to make a meaningful impact in the world.
Self
Students will be independent thinkers with the ability to self-reflect and critically evaluate their experiences to identify their goals, personal limitations, and areas of growth.
Kapwa
Students will be aware of and receptive to other voices with the spirit of empathy to analyse a diversity of perspectives.
National and
Global Awareness
Students will develop an understanding of the Philippines’ values, history, and socio-political structures and how global issues impact the local context.
Practical Skills
Students will be able to effectively manage teams and make strategic decisions, while fostering a culture of innovation and accountability.
Curiosity
Students will be active listeners by asking questions that cultivate curiosity and enhance enthusiasm for subjects within and outside their school curriculum, promoting life-long learning beyond rote-memorisation.
Since 2023, we have been supporting Filipino youth by cultivating these aims.
In 2024 we supported over 80 students in their education! We taught students valuable study techniques, gave away educational resources, and we had a bit of fun along the way!
Our Workshops at Legacy are at the heart of our mission
Legacy Award
Students who complete the program become eligible for our Legacy Award, given to those who consistently excel at each workshop.
These scholarships are tailored to provide each student with the support they need to reach their academic goals and succeed at university.
Our work at Legacy has only just begun.
Our true measure of success will be the impact our students make in their local communities and the skills they learn.
